William Blake's poem To Spring personifies spring as something that is beautiful and all together amazing.
He compares the days of spring to someone with "angel eyes" in the mornings and to a queen with a "golden crown" during sunset. He basically says that everyone longs for spring after a long cold winter, which he is right we do, so all the elaborate colors, singing birds, warmth and flowers all come back to life.
This poem is set up in 4 stanzas each with 4 lines, but doesn't rhyme or follow any set rhythm that I can see. Over all I liked this poem, it took me a couple times reading over it to get the complete image of spring since Blake really never mentioned any growth or anything considering spring throughout the poem, other than " O' Spring!" in the beginning. The images of a woman with soft angel eyes when she first awakens and how she gets more lively throughout the day kept popping in my head, it kind of reminded me of Snow White, and how she was very cheerful and how the animals came when she approached. You really had to infer a lot with this poem, but it wasn't hard to understand.
